3S Actuators GmbH was founded in 2007 by the brothers Axel, Steffen and Fabian Sacharowitz. In Berlin, innovative actuator solutions for valves in buried supply networks are developed and manufactured.
Today supply networks are supposed to be "intelligent". When innovative monitoring technologies are signalizing a necessary change in the network, employees are dispatched to operate the valves, just like 100 years ago, manually. From 3S Antriebe GmbH's point of view this is not very "smart". 3S Antriebe GmbH aims to enable utilities to operate their supply networks automatically using remote-controlled valve-actuators.
3S valve actuators do not require a cable infrastructure. They can be installed directly in the ground, so that no chambers are required. Since they do not have to be flanged onto the valve, existing valves can be retrofitted without interrupting the supply.
3S actuators are used in many European countries, but also in Russia, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
